Website in a Day?
Oct 30th, 2008 | By Patrysha | Category: Online MarketingIs it possible to build an effective website in a day?
Yes…and no.
It’s not difficult to set up a very simple website in a day. With content management systems and thousands of free templates available, it takes very little effort and only a small amount of cash to get started. When I say small, we really are talking about less than $30!
Anyone can do it and it’s simple to learn, in fact starting in early 2009 you’ll be able to download lessons on doing so through a pay-as-you-go style e-course from PK Marketing Solutions.
However, getting a website up is not the real challenge.
Once your site is live you will need to commit time to add to it, tweak it, measure performance and change things to improve your results.
A static, unchanging website will not hold the attention of your visitors for very long. Not only do you need a system for updating the content regularly, you need a system to encourage visitors to come back often. If you neglect to do this, you will get a small traffic surge when your site is brand new and you begin to promote it, but eventually the traffic will taper off and you’ll quit promoting because the effort will not be bringing you solid results. It’s a never-ending cycle that can be halted only by providing quality content to your site visitors.
Luckily, this is a very easy process and I’ll include some tips on finding and creating quality content for your website in the next issue of the Market Musings newsletter.
Stay tuned to Market Musings for more information on the upcoming online courses and the 2009 seminar series from PK Marketing Solutions.
