Whitecourt Chamber of Commerce
Jan 16th, 2009 | By Patrysha | Category: Whitecourt Biz NewsOn Wednesday, the Whitecourt & District Chamber of Commerce held a meeting at the Eagle River Casino down the highway from town. (I unfortunately got rear ended on the way to the meeting, but that’s a story for my blog website).
Two positions were open due to directors having to step down before their official term was over.
Thanks to the graciousness of the sales lady from the Rig, I ended up voted in as promotions director and I’m excited to be able to contribute.
If you’re a Whitecourt business owner, I’d love to see you at the next Chamber meeting to provide input on the best ways for the Chamber to communicate with you. Of course, if you can’t make it – feel free to call or email me and I’ll pass your message on.
As those who know me can attest, I’m a big proponent of local promotion and partnerships. Joint ventures figure largely in my pet projects. Working together with likeminded people is an exhilerating, enjoyable experience.

And yes, I know about the Chamber site, but unfortunately I am only the promotions director and while I did put a bid in to win the project for my company, the board chose to go in another direction and hire another developer.
As a member, I only get one vote after all…
