I just finished up a couple of very simple websites (really web pages more than websites) for a local client. She’s a direct sales representative and just needed somewhere nice and simple to send her personal clients for a quick overview of the programs she has available.

The company she represents has a wonderful corporate site, but sending prospects and clients there can be very overwhelming because there’s so much information. This is a common issue with corporate websites and can lead to lost opportunities.

So we developed a couple of one page sites with very easy to remember URLs that she could direct clients to. The links lead to the corporate site because, really, there’s no need to reinvent the wheel, is there?

She went for two sites because she has two different target audiences who will benefit from different things.

Targeting your message is so important when online. If someone comes to your site looking for one thing and the words and pictures don’t speak to their needs…they’ll be out of there in a heartbeat.
