The webcams and the iPhone apps are smart moves. I read about another pizza place called Naked Pizza that also uses Twitter to increase its sales.
It depends on your bottom line objective. There are a wide variety of social sites, some that are better for creating back links to your website and others that are great for attracting serious web and repeat web visitors.
I agree…it all comes down to your objectives. Social media can be a time suck if you don’t have a clear goal in mind for what you want to accomplish. That pretty much goes for any channel of communication you have with your prospects and customers. You can waste a lot of time and/or money by not knowing what you are after and what methods are most likely to get you there.
A cleaning business can be started with very little overhead.thanks
Great video. I have to agree with luxury beach rentals. I think it depends. I just saw Ja-Nae Duane (http://www.Ja-Nae.net) speak about incorporating social media into your business and what she said was that not everything will work for everything, that you have to find where you target market is and how they like to be communicated with (iphone apps, social sites, etc.).
I think it’s a time suck when you are doing too much and trying to reach a larger that may be broader than you need it to be.
Just my two cents.
I agree with Ja-Nae
All the strategies you find in marketing have to be geared towards your target market.
Yes, some cleaning businesses can be started with very little overhead. There are several types of businesses that can be. It can often be a matter of drive and passion that takes an entrepreneur from a small start to a huge business. One of the stories that intrigued me was the story of the Paul Mitchell company…less than $500 and a road trip got that million (or is it billion now) dollar company launched.
