Marketing

One of the most surprising things to many of my new clients is the range of simple, no cost strategies that I first suggest. One of the reasons that I chose “solid foundations” as part of my tagline is that I do genuinely believe that a business that is strong in the foundations of superb customer service has the best opportunities for making the most of their marketing.

Marketing writing is quite possibly one of the most profitable types of writing.  Profitable because a good marketing letter, advertisement or email will bring in prospects which you can then convert into customers and sales. If you do it correctly or hire someone who can do so for you.

Among other things on my list of accomplishments today, I finalized the proof for my first physical book.

If you’ve watched the movie City Slickers, you’ll no doubt recall the scene where Jack Palance suggests there is just one thing you need for a happy life or some such nonsense.  (I really wasn’t all that fond of the movie…something about guys going to hang out to play with cows and horses that I just do not get, but I digress – as I often do!)

One of the true beauties of online marketing over other marketing efforts is the precision with which you can measure what is working and what is not very inexpensively which allows you to increase your return on investment. The more information you have to work with, the more effective you can be.
