On Wednesday, the Whitecourt & District Chamber of Commerce held a meeting at the Eagle River Casino down the highway from town. (I unfortunately got rear ended on the way to the meeting, but that’s a story for my blog website).


I’ve been away from the computer and out in my local community much more this week. That was a bit unanticipated, but the speaking engagement I had scheduled for this past Monday has been postponed, so that added 16 hours to my schedule (the driving time there and back).


A friend of mine, reading yesterday’s tips on finding a local web designer/marketer asked me why I was giving tips on finding services similar to mine locally.


It can seem counterintuitive to have a website that opens your storefront to the world when you really can only serve a small population in your local area. If you don’t sell online, then do you really need a website to promote your business? In most cases, the answer is yes.
